Take a break. Head out into the Gulf on a turbulent day & float until the waves smooth out.
My brother came to visit several months ago to hang out.
He’s been here since then, but we were too busy to head this far out into the Gulf.
When we got started that morning it was windy. Some waves were larger than my boat is long. The gulf slapped us around a bit. 3000 RPMs to go 9 MPH into the wind until we’d get a break & shoot up to 30 in a second. Then the next wave would pick us up & drop out from under us. We’d go airborne until the skeg would catch to pull us back down with a slap on the surface. Eventually about 14 miles out the water cleared up & the waves smoothed out. It was a lot more relaxed heading back to the Bay.
It’s amazing how there’s not much else to think about when you’re having fun in open water.
